Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (“RJIL”) has announced that a final sale-purchase agreement has been signed with Bharti Airtel Limited. “Spectrum trading in Andhra Pradesh (2 x 3.75 MHz), Delhi (2 x 1.25 MHz), and Mumbai (2 x 2.5 MHz) circles to gain spectrum access in the M00 MHz band, which has been recorded by the DOT,” said Reliance Jio. .
According to RJIL’s official announcement, “RJIL has paid a total of Rs 1,181.3 crore crores (inclusive of taxes) to Bharti Airtel and has undertaken to pay the deferred payment with a present net worth of Rs..3 crore.” The report further added that “with this transaction of spectrum usage rights, RJIL’s Mumbai circle will have 800 MHz band spectrum footprint of 2 x 15MHz and Andhra Pradesh and Delhi circle will have 2 x 10 MHz, further enhancing the network experience.”
